Coolwood Wildlife Park
Coolwood is situated on the outskirts of Killarney town, on a 47 acre complex. 7 acres of it is a wildlife park and the remaining
acres are a wildlife sanctuary. A delight for all ages, with many unusual and colourful creatures including marmoset monkeys,
wallabies, llams, exotic water fowl, lemurs, macaws, capybaras (the biggest rats in the world).

Heavily wooded, it is the stronghold of the Red Squirrel, and has a well established Rookery. It is also home to the rare
Golden Eagle.

Other attractions include three kilometres of scenic walks, a playground and a coffee shop.

Open 11am-6pm daily, May to October.; rest of year by appointment. Adm. free except for zoo

Kennedys Animal & Pet Farm
All weather Pet Farm & Playground situated 8 km from Killarney off the Cork N22 road. Wide variety of animals and birds
indoor and outdoors, ready to be cuddled, fed and admired. Pony and donkey cart rides, playground, tiny tots corner, walks.
Watch out for special events: Easter Egg hunts, Halloween Shriek weekend and Santa's arrival early December and the Live

Millstreet Country Park
Millstreet Country Park is an environmental and nature park set on the slopes of Musheramore mountain in North Cork.

Over 500 acres of walks, waterfalls, streams, wetlands, lakes, picnic area, moorlands, arboretum, herb rich meadows, ornamental
gardens, archaeological sites, native deer, birds and wildlife. The park is a haven for nature lovers and a place of tranquil beauty.

Interactive Touch Screens: These state of the art multi media touch screens, take the traveller on their own personal tour of the Park.
Browse in German through the managed wetlands, or in French through the lakes the screens provide a fun way of armchair travelling.

The Audio Visual : The 17 minute audio visual presentation takes you back through the ages, the evolution of the landscape from
the pre-ice age, Jurassic Cretaceous era, 250 million years ago to the present day.

The Sensory Garden: Designed specifically for the visually impaired and enjoyed by everyone this garden is full of perfumed flowers and aromatic foliage, raised beds and wide paths make it accessible to everyone. The Music Garden: A band stand graces centre stage in
the music garden with recitals every Sunday, from brass bands, to Irish traditional, to classical, a symphony of sounds can be heard.
